Knowing the face behind the camera is a must ...
I realised that I had an untold passion for photography after a youthful upbringing in Art & Design, From my school days I loved getting ‘messy’ with paints and creating visual ideas.
After completing my degree in Applied Media Arts in 2005, I continued to pursue my passion in Photography and took a position with Venture who caters in Family Portrait Imagery.
During effective networking I met with other photographers who introduced me to the idea of ‘Makeover Photography’ – I decided I would take the uncertain route and register as Self Employed and throw myself into the Freelance world. My first Freelance studio that I worked with was New ID based on London Oxford Street then with progression I also worked at Double Take Studios Working to create and enhance the experience.
Alongside my Freelance studio work I kept my creative side alive by continuing to turn my paintbrush into a digital medium. This is where I learned to perfect my post production skills.
In order to learn more about Photography I assisted other Photographers on numerous shoots including working with Fashion Stylist and Video Directors on their Visual projects.
With the emergence of my photography skills and digital post productions I started to source work within the Hair & Beauty industry. My work has been published in Pride, Black Beauty, Black Hair, Wahl Hair Awards & Afro Hair & Beauty show
