Prep Guide
Five minutes of prep makes a visible difference. Here's everything you need.
What to wear
- Solids over busy patterns — they keep the focus on your face.
- Bring 2 looks, even if your package includes one. Options are free; regret isn't.
- Steam or iron everything. The camera sees every wrinkle.
- When in doubt, bring options. We'll pick together before we shoot.
Grooming
- Get a haircut 3–5 days before — fresh, but settled in.
- Natural makeup reads best on camera. Skip anything with heavy SPF (it flashes white).
- Bring lip balm and powder. Shine happens; we handle it.
What to expect
- Relaxed direction the whole session. You never have to know how to pose.
- You'll see frames on the back of the camera as we go — no guessing.
- Music's on. Send a playlist beforehand if you want the session to feel like you.
Arrival
- The studio address and parking instructions are sent by email after booking.
- Arrive 5 minutes early so we shoot the full session.
Session-specific tips
Headshots
- Bring the top you'd wear to your most important meeting — and one backup.
- Necklines matter more than logos. Structured collars photograph best.
- Think about where this photo will live (LinkedIn, website, casting) and tell us.
Seniors
- One dressed-up look, one that's completely you — letterman jacket, team kit, whatever.
- Props welcome: instruments, cleats, art supplies. They tell your story.
- Parents can come — one guest keeps the energy right.
Couples
- Coordinate, don't match. Same palette, different outfits.
- Plan something to do right after — sessions end on a high, keep it going.
- Tell us how you met. We'll get you laughing about it on camera.
